LOFI @ Wordstock is a variety show packed with Wordstock authors + favorite Portland performers in a highly entertaining variety show that features comedy, music, stories, poetry, video, raucous readings, and weird stuff.
Each LOFI show benefits a different local nonprofit- past partners have included the YWCA of Portland, affordable housing champions Neighborhood Partnerships, and Street Roots. So far this year we’ve raised nearly $6000 for these and other amazing organizations.
Hosted by ANDREW DICKSON, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA) Time Based Art Favorite and host of The Moth, this quarterly show will take place at the Winningstad Theater, inside Antoinette Hatfield Hall (1111 SW Broadway).

We challenged our Wordstock guests to do something beyond a reading: use film, use music, or do a straight up performance of a new work!
☞ DANIEL HANDLER (Lemony Snicket) is the author of the novels We Are Pirates, The Basic Eight, Watch Your Mouth, Adverbs, and Why We Broke Up, a 2012 Michael L. Printz Honor Book. As Lemony Snicket, he is responsible for many books for children, including the thirteen-volume sequence A Series of Unfortunate Events and the four-book series All the Wrong Questions. He is married to the illustrator Lisa Brown, and lives with her and their son in San Francisco.
☞ LAURA GIBSON is an American folk singer and songwriter. She was raised in Coquille, Oregon, and is now based in the Portland area. With themes related to the pacific northwest, Gibson writes songs on a nylon-stringed guitar. Recent albums include La Grande and Empire Builder.
☞ MELISSA FEEBOS is the author of the critically acclaimed memoir, Whip Smart (St. Martin’s Press 2010) and the essay collection, Abandon Me (Bloomsbury 2017), which The New Yorker called, “mesmerizing.” Her second essay collection will be published by Bloomsbury in 2020.
☞ TOMMY PICO is a writer (Nature Poem) and karaoke enthusiast. Originally from the Viejas Indian reservation of the Kumeyaay nation, he currently lives in Brooklyn.

Inviting you to the evening’s entertainment is Live At HiFi Farms (LAHF), the long running event series established by HiFi Farms, a craft cannabis cultivation company located just outside of Portland, who Esquire Magazine calls “the coolest cannabis company in Oregon.”
Past LAHF events have included unique, intimate performances by artists such as Lera Lynn, Patterson Hood, Stephen Malkmus, and Kyle O’Quin of Portugal. The Man.
